The Solitaire
A classic solitaire in its purest form — a single stone set in a slender band, designed to let the diamond speak entirely for itself. Every detail is considered: the height of the setting, the profile of the shank, the way light enters from below.
Cut to your exact specifications. The band is hand-finished in our Tallinn workshop before final setting is completed by our craftsmen in Valenza, Italy. Lead time is eight to ten weeks from confirmation of stone selection.
Setting: 4-claw or 6-claw cathedral
Stone: 0.5 ct – 3.0 ct round brilliant (supplied or sourced)
Band width: 1.8 mm standard; custom widths available
Finish: High polish, satin, or brushed
Technical details
Diamonds and the 4Cs
All diamonds used in Rauno Oidram rings are GIA or HRD certified. I specify minimum SI1 clarity and G colour for solitaires — the threshold where inclusions are invisible to the naked eye and colour reads as white in normal settings.
For bespoke commissions, I source stone candidates and present them with full certificates and photographs for your review before committing.
Materials and ethical sourcing
All gold is recycled 18k alloy from a certified refinery. Diamonds are sourced through suppliers who comply with the Kimberley Process. Lab-grown diamonds are available on request for all designs at the same quality threshold.
Sizing and resizing
Rings are made in EU sizes 47–66. If you are unsure of your size, I can send a sizing guide or arrange measurement at the atelier. One complimentary resize is included within the first year.
Care and warranty
Every ring comes with a lifetime warranty covering prong integrity and setting security. Annual inspection is recommended — this can be done remotely (you send the ring, I inspect and return) or in person at the atelier.
Avoid ultrasonic cleaners for pave and accent settings. For solitaires, a soft brush with warm soapy water is sufficient.
