Bespoke

Commissions, by conversation.

For the ring that doesn't yet exist —
designed with you, from the first
sketch to the final setting.

Begin a bespoke conversation

I take on a small number of bespoke commissions each year. Not because I want to, but because the work requires it.

A bespoke ring takes thirty to fifty hours of design and craft, eight to twelve weeks of process, and the full attention of the designer rather than a sales conversation handed off to a workshop. Done at scale, the work becomes ordinary. Done one at a time, it stays what it should be.

If you're considering a bespoke commission, what follows is what to expect — and what it will cost.

Investment

Commissions start at €5,000.

The figure reflects the time involved — typically thirty to fifty hours of design and craft, depending on the complexity of the piece and the rarity of the stone. The investment may be higher for larger commissions, exceptional stones, or extended development.

Process

A real collaboration.

We begin with a conversation about what you have in mind. From there: sketches, then CAD, then a wax model when useful. You see the design before any metal is cut. Diamond setting, when required, is finished in Valenza.

Availability

Limited by choice.

I take on a small number of commissions each year — typically six to ten. If my current schedule is full, I'll tell you, and offer the next available window. I would rather decline a commission than rush one.

A few past commissions

Anna, 2024

A pear-cut natural diamond, 1.8ct, set east-west on a hand-finished platinum band. Designed around a stone Anna's partner had inherited from his grandmother. The original setting was no longer wearable; the stone is now wearable for another century.

Martin, 2023

A solitaire built around a 2.3ct oval lab diamond, with a hidden engraving on the inside of the band that only Martin and his fiancée know about. The kind of detail that doesn't show — and matters more for it.

Katarina, 2025

Three commissioned rings: an engagement ring, a matching wedding band, and a men's band in a complementary design. The whole set developed over four months of conversations across two countries.

How to begin

A bespoke commission starts with a conversation — not a quote. Tell me roughly what you have in mind, what you'd like the ring to do, and when you'd like to have it. I'll tell you whether I can take the work, what it might cost, and how long it will take.

The conversation costs nothing. Most of the answers come from it.

If you'd rather speak first.

A bespoke commission doesn't have to start with a form. Book a consultation — online or in the Tallinn atelier — and we'll talk through what you're imagining.
